Who's running the boat
Captain Ron Bouse
USCG licensed captain with 8 years of striper fishing behind him, now guiding on Lake Lanier in North Georgia.
A charter should feel like going fishing with somebody who knows the lake, not like a guided tour. You'll get told what we're doing and why, you'll get handed a rod, and nobody will make you feel bad about a backlash.
We go after stripers. Spotted bass, largemouth, smallmouth and catfish all turn up while we're at it, and nobody complains when they do.
The boat
- The boat has a full enclosure, so a little rain doesn't end the day.
- Winter trips run in a heated cabin — diesel heater, enclosure zipped up. Some of the best striper fishing of the year happens when everybody else has put the boat away.
- Live well aboard to keep bait lively and fish fresh.
Where we meet
6 Mile Creek Boat Ramp, 6020 Browns Bridge Road, Cumming, GA 30041. We'll confirm the exact spot and time when we lock in your date.
Serving Gainesville, Buford, Cumming, Flowery Branch, Dawsonville, Atlanta.
Before you come
- Anglers must be 12 or older.
- Up to 4 anglers per trip.
- Dress for the weather — layers, and shoes you don't mind getting wet.
- Every angler 16 and over needs a Georgia fishing license. Pick one up online before the trip — it isn't included.
If the captain calls the trip for weather — lightning, thunder or heavy rain — you get your deposit back in full or we move you to another day. Your choice.
